Thomas Dekker, who may be best known for his role as John Connor, on the hit Fox show “The Sarah Connor Chronicles,” is in final negotiations to play Jesse in the “Nightmare on Elm Street” Remake. Jesse, a Swim Team jock in the film will likely die at the hands or should I say blades of Freddy Kruger (Jackie Earle Haley).
Samuel Bayer is the film’s director, which will start shooting in May. The movie is scheduled for an April 16, 2010 release.
Thomas Alexander Dekker was born on December 28, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He began his acting career at age 6, and his first TV appearance was on the soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” In 1997 he was brought on as a regular for Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show. Dekker has also won three Young Artist Awards for his part in “The Land Before Time” movies.
In 2006, Dekker received the recurring role of Zach on the show “Heroes.” After that he went on to star as John Connor in the Fox show “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.”
With a strong musical background Dekker began to write his own music at age ten. At 15 he got his first record deal, but left when he couldn’t make the music he wanted. His first album titled Psyanotic is finished, and is currently in negotiations with record labels. The full album can be purchased on the iTunes store.
